Kilian Kerner will present his SS 2010 collection „Tagebucheinträge" on Friday, July 3rd, 2009, during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

At 2 PM on Friday July 3rd, 2009, the fashion label KILIAN KERNER will take to the catwalks of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for the third time in a row. "Tagebucheinträge" (engl. Diary Entries) which is Kilian Kerner's ninth collection to date, remains true to his emotional approach to design: Five anonymous diary entries served as inspiration for this 2010 summer collection.

Sensuality is the buzzword for Kilian Kerner's women's line. His emphasis is on dresses, from long evening gowns and elegant cocktail dresses to casual shirt dresses. Design elements of circles and pleats stand out and resurface in other product groups. Fabrics such as silk, silk jersey, cotton, leather and pony laser underscore the sensual color palette of gold, green, white and black.

The men's line by contrast is laid back. Classic design meets rockabilly. Here Kilian Kerner plays with silhouettes, making a departure from form fitting clothing and instead offering fresh interpretations. The color palette moves within a range of classic tones of blue, black, grey and silver.

This year Kilian Kerner will be presenting work in cooperation with Berlin designer Anja Bruhn, with whom he has created bags and belts for the label Kerner&Bruhn. „We were eager to collaborate, as we compliment each other extremely well," said Kilian Kerner of their teamwork. Along with the accessories derived from this collaboration, models will also be wearing sumptuous jewelry from the Hamburg label ElfCraft, which counts the likes of Victoria Beckham and Depeche Mode among its admirers.

This year, the „fashion and music" concept will enter its fifth season and, here too, Kilian Kerner has a creative partner: The band Mor/La/Peach will performance „Savages," a song created especially for Kilian Kerner's show, for the first time at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin.

A further highlight of the show will be that the roughly 40 KILIAN KERNER models will exclusively appear upon a classy tile catwalk from the stalwart house of Villeroy & Boch.

The label KILIAN KERNER lives on emotions. The decision alone to make fashion his profession derives from Kilian Kerner’s passion for garments and the feeling that designing was at that moment the right thing for him to do.

Kilian Kerner (1979), was born and raised in Cologne. Before founding the label KILIAN KERNER in 2004 he studied drama in Cologne and Berlin between 2000 to 2003. The designs of his first collection „Überhaupt und Du“ showed him relying entirely on his intuition. With its 10th collection by now the label is celebrating its first small jubilee and possesses a great deal of know-know. Above all, imparting an emotional quality is what really sets the brand apart. KILIAN KERNER arises and works through emotions.

In the summer 2008 Kilian Kerner decided to show at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin and come January 2011 will have shown here for the sixth consecutive time. The label has thus become a firm component of the German fashion industry and it has become unthinkable to erase it from Berlin fashion week’s calender.

Kilian Kerner’s ninth collection „Tagebucheinträge“ was chaperoned by the online platform Vogue.com. This three-piece video series about the young aspiring designer was a premier.
