"It is hard to say anything really meaningful about a collection. Fashion is a visual medium, after all. The themes, riffs and references are there to be seen. And that is all that matters. I hope that with each season I have moved forwards, towards a more perfect crystallisation of what is in my head. 'And The Sun Shone Straight In All Directions' is my sixth collection. I am happy with much of it. It would be foolish to ask for more than that.

We stumble towards our perfection.....

Tim Soar

Tim Soar started out his creative career with the graphics superstar Neville Brody working on the launch of the interiors project POST Design producing retail and exhibition design in the UK and Europe. It was at Neville's studio that Tim worked as a graphic designer initially by himself and then in the partnership STAC with photographer Andrew Catlin. Much of the work Tim did was with for the music business focusing on producing art for recognisable record sleeves.

During his time with Neville Brody Tim moved further into the music industry and began to dj given his first break by Graham Ball one of the heroes of London clubbing scene at his night ‘Babes In Toyland’ at the height of rave. Accepting residencies at many well know venues across London and becoming apart of the original Camden set when Britpop first broke.

In 2005 the Tim Soar label was born and armed with his creative expertise within music graphics and interiors - Fashion had opened up a new creative language for Tim to use when conceiving and designing each piece of his collections. Tim Soar knew his designs would be informed by both minimalism and the avant guard while the design aesthetic remain internationalist. Move over it was important for Tim to design label hat was not seen to be rehashing the usual 'British' design tropes with his collections showing a constant evolution.

The first collection was brought by London's hugely influential B-Store the second collection was brought by Liberty and success has continued on consecutively showing at London Fashion Week since Spring Summer 09.

An important creative outlet and successful business for Tim is his company Music Concrete. Founded by Tim the company produces show music and supply’s djs and bands for launches and events. Music Concrete is a true passion for Tim and has seen the company work with many of the leading UK and international fashion designers and design houses including; Donna Karen Prada Ralph Lauren Levis Fendi LVMH Mathew Williamson (the list goes on) and luxury hotels groups such as St. Martin's Lane Hotel The Sanderson and The Great Eastern Hotel - ensuring a coherent music strategy across each brand.
