A&V 2010 A/W SEASON THEME

今回のA&V（アレクサンドラス･ポグレブノーユスとヴィダ･シマナヴィチューテのユニット）レディース及びメンズコレクションは「スポーツ」と「エレガンス」の二つのテーマから成り立っています。独創的なつくりとエレガントさを持ち合わせたスポーツウェアは、様々なファブリックを使い、仕立てた新しいシルエットは色彩的、幾何学的な作りこみがコレクションのコントラストをより鮮明なものにしています。
スポーツラインコレクションは、リトアニアの代表的なスポーツメーカーであるAudimasとのコラボレーションによって生まれました。

A&Vの強みは、その二元性にあります。異なっていて似ている、陰陽のように補完しあう対極のように影響を与え合い、凝ったアヴァンギャルド・コレクションと表現豊かなショーを創作しています。ヴィダとアレクサンドラスのデザインは、成功と認識の方式、――つまり個性を大切にしながら真の伝統を創造的に用い、常に1歩先を行き、重要なことですが、大多数を喜ばせるようなことはあえてやらない、ということ――をリトアニアで最初に見出したグループに入ります。彼らの作品の趣味のよさは、単に意味のない言葉ではなく、洗練されたミニマリズムと調和、慎みある贅沢、測定された無造作さの統合により定められた常に維持されている美により、支持されているものです。

また、A&Vの服は、基本的にオートクチュールの原則に従っています。手作業を主に取り入れ、クライアント個別に寸法を取った衣服の仕立て方により、カジュアル服を大量生産の既製服以上のものに高めています。
毎年A&Vはリトアニア国内に加え、ロシア、フランス、日本、オーストリアのファッション・ウィーク、そしてファッション・デザインの国際展示会で年2回のシーズン・コレクションを発表しています。リトアニアの国境を越えて、グローバルなファッション市場との恒常的な接触により、正統派リトアニアスタイルとコスモポリタン的トレンドが国際メディアの批評家の目に留まり、A&Vデザインの服は『ヴォーグ』、『ハーパース・バザー』、『エル』、『ロフィシエル』、『グラマー』といった雑誌の表紙や撮影写真記事に業界で最も著名なデザイナーたちと並んで掲載され、リトアニアの著名な女優や歌手、モデルが着用しています。

Alex Pogrebnojus
Vida Simanaviciute

Designer A. Pogrebnojus (born in 1968) was studying theatre directing at the Vilnius Conservatoire in 1989-1992.

Designer V. Simanaviciute (born in 1961) studied design at Kaunas Art School in 1984-1988

A&V was established in 1993 by two independent designers Alex Pogrebnojus and Vida Simanaviciute. Their studio - atelier is in Vilnius capital of Lithuania. The designers present two seasonal collections every year. They also design clothes for individual customers as well as costumes for theater performances.

Concept

The first thing you notice about the collection of Aleksandras Pogrebnojus and Vida Simanavičiūtė is the harmony of colours form and mood. When looking deeper you see the undoubted experience and professionalism and finally restless creativity that is hard to define in words but can be sensed instantly. Therefore you feel like looking at the clothes because they are so pleasing to your eyes you want to touch them because your body longs for the new experiences; you want to be the one for whom these clothes have been designed because the moments of life are miscellaneous and unpredictable just like every detail of A&V clothes.

The models of A&V collection are designed primarily for the person who will wear them; therefore a special attention is given to the small yet expressive details inner facings and what is of major importance the comfort of the body. They are meant for an elegant woman who realizes her originality knows her worth and therefore is not afraid to make fun sometimes. These clothes do not make noise or demonstrate themselves – they seek to inconspicuously sympathize with the woman who has something to say and with her body. This is the collection for those who see themselves behind the mirror – loving appreciating the unique pallet of feelings and sensations which is worth to be reflected on the visible side of the mirror and the eyes of the surrounding people.
